Year of Establishment

The origin of the Department of Atmospheric Sciences (erstwhile Centre for Atmospheric Sciences, 1988 - 2001)
dates back towards the end of 2001, when the University of Calcuttta decided to start a two-year M.Sc. course in Atmospheric Sciences.
