Admission to first Semester M.A./M.Sc. in Education for the session 2012-2014

Applications are invited from Honours Graduates (10+2+3) of 2012 in Education of Calcutta University in the prescribed form which will be available from 11.00 A.M.. to 3.00 P.M. on payment of Rs. 50/ (price of admission form Rs.15/+ brochure Rs 35 ) – and Rs.25/- for SC/ST/&PH candidates from the University Sales Counter, College Street Campus for admission to the above mentioned course, duly filled in, together with attested copies of mark-sheets and certificates regarding special claim (i.e. SC/ST and PH etc.).

Honours Graduates of 3 years Degree Course of other recognized Universities may also apply. Total no. of seats are 125, of which 22% seats are reserved for SC candidates, 6% seats are reserved for ST Candidates, 3% seats are reserved for Physically Handicapped candidates. The adoption of New Policy for reservation of seats earmarked for C.U. & Non C.U. candidates may necessitate the formulation of a new mechanism for implementation of C.U/Non-C.U. reservation Policy. This new methodology, when formulated, will be notified. 5% seats are reserved for Honours Graduates of this University of the immediate preceding year, provided the marks they have secured are at least equal to the marks of the last candidate admitted from the current year.

1. Application forms will be available on and from 20.07.2012 to 31.07.2012
2. Submission of filled in application forms: On and from 23.07.2012 to 01.08.2012 between 11.00 am to 3.00 pm on all working days at the office of the Secretary, UCAC, Student Section (Ground floor), Alipur Campus, C.U.
3. Date of publication of 1st Provisional Selection list & waiting list as per merit : 17.08.2012
4. Dates of Admission: 21.08.2012 to 28.08.2012
5. Date of publication of 2nd Selection list (if vacancy arises) from the reported candidates from approved waiting list : 10.09.2012
6. Date of Admission from waiting list (if required): 12.09.2012
7. Date of commencement of the 1st Semester classes : will be intimated later on
8. Forms sent by post will not be accepted.
9. Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe applicants from the other states will not get the reservation facilities of S.C./S.T.
10. Selection will be made as per university admission rules.
11. CU final year P.N.C.(Pass subject not clear) candidate may also apply as appeared candidates to be included in the Merit List after production of Pass Mark sheet immediately after publication of result satisfying the requisite eligibility criteria.
